We had one more place we wanted to do today, so we took a short train to Rotterdam. We didn't really spend much time in the city, but we did have to wait for the waterbus to take us to Kinderdijk. Although we didn't have a lot of time left to spend at Kinderdijk (the last waterbus for Rotterdam left at 4pm) it was so worth the trip over.
We spend our time just walking up and down the path and looking at the windmills. It was so pretty there. The windmills were huge and turning, the dikes were nice (and some had people swimming in them) and the air was clean and smelled green. It was just a lovely afternoon there. We did have to run to catch the last waterbus back though.
We were pretty hungry, so we decided that we would head back to Amsterdam for supper. We stopped at a place we'd been thinking about for a while (that had a cat in the front window) for fondue! It was our cheese day. We shared two pots between the four of us. The cheese was amazing, and we wished we could eat all of it, but there was too much to finish.
After supper we walked around the city a little before heading back to the hotel to pack up for tomorrow.
