Flat cycle paths seem to have changed into rolling roads with more uphill than downhill. Broke fourth spoke on another rough track, cycle paths vary from velvet smooth tarmac to gravel, dirt, rocky, grassy, rutted, lumpy and bumpy tracks ! In Bertrix Donna spotted a bike shop, the owner dropped everything to replace our last two broken spokes and true the wheel - yippee ! That doesn't mean our problems are over but we are trying to avoid the rubbish cycle paths and keeping our fingers crossed. After the good news on the back wheel the heavens opened and we got thoroughly soaked. It dried up to pitch and cook but in the night the thunder and lightening were frightening. Saturday morning the tent smelt terribly of damp dogs, sweaty socks, camembert cheese and petrol (from our stove). Short ride to Bastogne with a Pattisserie shop stop on the way. Sun came out , pitched, big laundry wash, ate the cheese :-) and the tent smells great now ! Sunday - day off, visiting war museums of Bastogne. Must make an effort to stop and take some landscape photos. Back on Titty tomorrow.

Donna managed to buy bacon from the supermarket near the campsite - a very pleasant treat.
