Today I went to the market which is in a really nice building in the centre of downtown São Paulo. It was crazy! You can buy pretty much anything there, loads of herbs and spices, beers, a little souvenir shop, which apparently is the only one in the city. Sweets, meats hanging all over the place, fruits that I've never seen before, weird and wonderful shapes and colours, fish lots of long ones, cakes, then there's bars and restaurants on the 2nd floor.
So I treated myself to some chocolate covered cashew nuts, which were very yummy! Brazil doesn't seem to do chocolate, I don't understand. So I jumped at these.
Then I came back and found a massive supermarket :) they had snickers bars and I even found strawberry milkshake :) I looked out for a gluten free section but I don't think this country is that developed yet, although they do have 'containes gluten or nao containes gluten' on most of their products which really helps :)
I like São Paulo, I think if I had to love in a developing country, it's developed enough to be able to live comfortably and conveniently!
So I've spoilt myself today... Happy days :)
