From the Black Stump to Woop Woop
Before we embarked on this trip, our purpose was to enjoy this beautiful country of ours, but also to spend more quality time as a family. We wanted to strip away most of what was familiar and comfortable. Learn more about who we are and what is really important to us in life. What is it that brings joy to our lives and of course have heaps of fun. The last few days has given us time to reflect. Give gratitude for all the wonderful things we have seen and done. These are some of the lessons I have learnt or knew but just needed reminding of since our adventure began. In no particular order:
- Listen to people as though it was the last thing they were ever going to say,
- You will always get by with what you already have.
- Flushing toilets are a god send.
- Baby wipes are a travellers best friend.
- Forgive yourself and others.
- Be present
- Family and friends are the most precious thing on this earth.
- Never assume.
- Know it will all work out in the end.
- Love is the answer.
- Most people are friends that you haven't met yet.
- Cask wine is crap.
- Children's laughter and squeels of delight are the most wonderful sound on earth.
- Home schooling is the hardest thing I have ever done.
- You actually don't need to shower daily. But it would be nice.
- Nothing ever lasts forever.
- Water is essential.
- Happiness is a state of mind.
- Be grateful.
- Go for what you want
- Believe in yourself!!!
