Day 16
Today Dad and I left our cabin early to go and pack up the camper. Dad was worried that when we got there it would be on fire. Luckily for us, everything was fine. I think because it was on a Mine road (the Mereenie Loop) there wasn’t much traffic on a Sunday night. We got out everything except for the tent poles, a gas bottle and a few mats. Our whole car was full. When we got back we were starving! We went looking for mum and everyone else in the Gorge. We found them sitting on the edge of the river playing in the water. After a big lunch we packed up the car again to head back to Alice. The trailer was picked up by an Outback Recovery Truck and arrived in Alice that evening.
