We checked out of our hotel and made our way across the bridge once again for a tour of the old town. We meandered our way through the streets, from shop to shop.

After breakfast our destination was the City Palace. We made our way through the narrow, ancient streets where we stumbled upon yet another Hindu temple. We climbed the many stairs and asked permission to enter. There was some sort of prayer going on with chanting and bell ringing which included people waving brooms in the air who were clearing away bad spirits. This mornings mission was to find accomodation for the remainder of our Udaipur trip. We threw on a t shirt and shorts and headed across the food bridge to the other side of the lake. After a night of people shouting and keeping us awake, we jumped in a tuktuk to take us to Trivandrum airport and head for Udaipur via Mumbai. After being told (usual story for us!) that our bags were too heavy, we did some re-packing which involved giving an airport cleaner Helens jacket. This made her day! Today's destination was Trivandrum where we would fly out of the following day. We jumped a tuktuk to the station and waited on the platform whilst toom performed a few dances for the other passengers. As the train pulled up there was a surge towards the end of the platform where everyone congregated to get a space on the packed train.
