We left Santiago early in the morning lugging our backpacks onto the tube - all hands stayed firmly inside the carriage this time! We arrived into Valparaiso about 5 hours later. Valparaiso is known as Chile´s cultural capital and you can see why. There are multicoloured houses all the way up the hills that make the place look amazing. Theye are lots of little trams that take people up the hills as its really steep. We took a ride on one for 10p! We wandered around a lot and found some cute little cafes to eat in. On Valentines day we treated eachother to a nice meal at a highly reccomended french restaurant. I had ostrich while Tom went for boring old steak!! It was all delicious if a bit pricey! After a bottle of wine we decided to not waste the evening and went to a cool little bar that had live music on. We are really going to have to start being a bit more frugal out here though! Bring on cheap Peru and Bolivia I say! We went to the beach on our second day but it was a massive disappointment. There was rubbish all over the place. Valparaiso is a cool place to visit but there isn´t much going on so were moving on tomorrow.
