Finally arrived in Marrawah last night. There was a Rip Curl Pro comp on here over the long weekend, so we avoided it like the plague knowing that there would be no places to camp. We were bummed however, because it would have been great fun to be part of the spectacle. Apparently the home of the cleanest air in the world, Marrawah boasts a pub and little else. We are camping at Green Point which is a sand covered reef beach stretching maybe 3 miles to the north. The windmills of the Woolnorth farm on the Northernmost tip of the island can be seen from the beach. We scored a fat little 2 ft wave on arrival with the pleasant surprise of warmish water. The stars were extraordinary last night as well and I think it was Saturn that we could see, clearly visible low in the western sky.
