Ok from San Juan del Sur, i headed off to Costa Rica, and after a 2 hour long border crossing, and then a 6 hour bus journey to San Jose, i basically passed out in bed to arise at 6 to make my way to Bocas del Toro to meet up again with Simo.
When i finally arrived, and checked in my hostel and everything i met up with Simon and headed to Aqua Lounge, a hostal on stilts, where we ran into a couple of girls from Jags, and a couple of guys from Wellington and Worth Abbey who we knew from London but had no idea they would be in Bocas. So we immediately decided to grab a couple of beers and head out fishing in search of Marlin and Barracuda to eat. We caught nothing, despite our best efforts, and hanging around just outside the waters of the national park in an attempt to catch some unsuspecting and unprotected fish. The closest we came was a fish which managed to break on of the lines and escape.
That night then just involved a couple of drinks, share the stories as usual and then go for a swim in the waters near the Aqua Lounge, whilst eating some fish we had to buy from the market.
After that was a few days of doing nothing, hanging around swimming and stuff, before we met some more English ladies from Beckenham (where simon hails from) and it turns out we had quite a few mutual friends in London, so we all decided to cook everyone in our hostal a typical english Roast Chicken with potatoes and veggies and gravy and pretty much everything. Made alot of new friends because of that and we all went on a boat trip the following day to see some Dolphins and snorkel around some pretty cool coral reefs and chill out on Red Frog Beach ( a beach which has in its surrounding areas some red frogs unsuprisingly).
That night was the only night of the week which wasn't fancy dress night at our hostal bar, and was one of the only nights we decided to dress up properly (after having been dressed up as 118 118 one night and Amish people the other) as pirates....for impact of course. Needless to say not much of the night was remembered by us, but this morning alot of the night was remebered by everyone else. We are just about to get the boat and then bus to Panama city, have a day looking round there, seeing the canal hopefully and then an early morning flight on Wednesday to Peru.
So as of now, yes i am still alive, having an awesome time, and pretty bummed out to be leaving Central America, but looking for very much to South America.
