Forty Eighth Stop Ha Long Bay

We arrived in Ha Long on the 19th of July. Ha Long Bay is a range of Islands off the East Vietnam coast. We got a Junk boat around the Islands, visited caves, jumped off the roof of the boat for a swim and slept on the boat.

On the second day in a 45 degree heat and wearing flip-flops we climbed to the highest point in Ha Long Bay. In the afternoon we kayaked to Monkey Island and although we were told there were monkeys on the Island we didn't see any. We had got friendly with a Danish guy, Clause and went out that night as we were staying on Cat Ba Island. We finally met the girls from Bangkok again which made for a good night out.
