Tams World Tour
Cameron Highlands, KL, Melaka.....
Spent 2 days in Cameron Highlands. Much cooler as we were so much higher up - my swollen ankles have finally gone down! Visited a tea plantation (BOH tea - I find that quite funny for some reason!), did some treking and swam in a FREEZING waterfall. All good exercise for burning off those Tiger beers! Tried a traditional steamboat - hot soup that you throw in whatever meat, fish and veg you want and the soup (which is on a burner) cooks the meat etc for you. Pretty gross to be honest but I gave it a go!
On to KL - very modern and vibrant but the traffic was terrible! We went to a club one night and there were still traffic jams at 3 in the morning! However the city itself is brilliant, really buzzing with excellent shopping! Visited the Petronas Towers - tallest twin towers in the world and the second tallest building.
Am now in Melaka which I am really liking. Quite colonnial and has a bit more character to it - I have found Malaysia as a whole a bit grotty and lacking the charm of Thailand. However, next onto Singapore and the end of the tour.
Short entry this time as many photos attached for your enjoyment! xxxxx
