Tina's travel tip of this blog....googling "very clean room in Chiang Mai " seemed like a great idea at the time...all will become clear..

Taxi from the airport with our very light packs as we have left s***loads in Bangkok ready to go straight home. Met at our ??? room ??? by the owner Tim from Leeds and his wife Tom from Chiang Mai.Told us about the band night on sunday all the good tours and all the bad tours ,people to use and people and places to avoid.... The Garden Guesthouse.Had a beer and checked the room...huge but shared bathroom ,shouldnt be a problem. Went for a walk about and got our bearings .Found a nice place to eat called Hot Chilli .If you have read the previous blog ,this is where I am sat in the photo with the cocktail.Great food and served by the sweetest waitress who Kao taowed like no other person I have ever met...truly beautiful..Blob wanted to bring her home.Had a great night sleep and went out for brekkie .This was due to the fact that although our guesthouse was a restaurant ,our hosts LAZY b******S !!..could not be bothered toget up till 10 !! So we went and hired a moto and took off on our Easy Rider trip to the waterfalls and then Queen Surakvit Botanical Gardens.Sadly we ran out of time and only managed to see 1/2 the gardens They were incredible .perfectly maintained and truly spectacular. We managed to get back in one piece too although it was a bit hairy at times.

The room was as we had left it and so was the bathroom......

The following morning Blob set off on his Mahoot training day with the elephants.He loved it and if you want to see the photos ,some are on FB It takes too long to upload a video but I may try in a mo.I had a lovely day where I did some blogs caught up with some emails Spoke to a couple of u on chat.I took myself out for brekky and window shopped . Generally I quite enjoy these days occasionally.When Blob got back he went off for a massage over the road.This is a massage centre that is staffed by the Chiang Mai correctional facility....yes they are ex inmates who have been trained in order that they have a way of earning a living when they are released ? Anyway he came back in one piece but felt they didnt really want to be there lol .He had met a lovely couple from Sydney and we were meeting them at an Irish pub that evening to watch the footie.Sharon was originally from Taz in Oz and Paul was from Leeds.Blob took us the scenic route ...and after about an hour we hitched up with 6 random people who knew there way....well nearly.

Watched England and had a few beers and a great chat.Tuk tuk home and everything was as we had left it....

Kinda getting to the stage where I was feeling cleaner by NOT going into our bathroom.

We decided to have a Tina temple tour on the Sunday and started with a fab breakfast at the Irish bar(the food the night before had been fab and they also had a bakery which baked outstanding varieties of bread).Blob had already asked our host for one nights rent back cos we had decided to leave a day early and so he didnt seem to have a problem with this .Plus they are closed on a Monday so there wouldnt be anyone around to ...........do f*** all!!!

We walked around the Sunday market and made a few purchases and then we skyped Brenda and Liz and Tina and Sam and Charlie and Charlie and Rog and then we were joined by Katie and Maisie which was fab.Its so nice to hear your voices sometimes and to see you is a bonus.

We liked Chiang Mai.We would stay somewhere different next time......We could have got much cheaper accomodation and much much much cleaner accomodation .Kinda felt they werent really open ........and a tip from me....WHEN YOU CANT PUT TOILET PAPER DOWN THE LOO AND YOU ARE TAKING MONEY OFF OF PEOPLE ...AT LEAST EMPTY THE BIN ON A DAILY BASIS YOU DIRTY PEOPLE !!!!

Tomorrow we move up to Chiang Rai....maybe they'll get up and wave us off? ..............I see a pig ....with wings...xx
