Tim, Chris and Edd´s And James's Long Ol' Adventur
Hello everyone.
Hows you all doing? I'm unbelievable, so thankyou for asking! Right, down to business, we are now on Ko Pha Nagn, for thje wporld renowned Full Moon Beach Party. We are actually staying in a bungalow, just 10 metres to the sea on the ebach! very very nice and for just 5 pounds each!!
So Since i last wrote anything, i'm sure James has filled you in. We went from Singapore to Melaka then up to Kuala Lumpur. From Here we decided to go a very unconventional route into Thailand. So much so that the tour guides didnt even Know where we where going, but i had it set in my mind it would work! And it did. We travelled for 10 hours to a tiny little seaside port town of Kuala Perlis at the the very South-West point of Malaysia. No Westerners at all, and a lot of Muslims. We couldnt find anywhere to stay, so ended up in a seedy little motel, with our room consisting of four paper thin walls, with no windows and a massive double bed taking up pretty much the entire room. Needless to say, i dont think the room was meant solely as a place to rest your weary head!! SO when two English guys rocked up at 9 in the evening, we got many people laughing at us!
So we got up at a ridiculous time, to get a boat to the island of Langkawi and from there a second boat to a small town in Thailand called Satun! it was in the deep south. We were however, myself especially, bricking it for majority of this day, as we had read numerous warnings on the FCO website advising against travel too or thorugh theses provinces and later read in a newspaper, that the regular shootings, beheadings and bombs, made only the minor pages in the papers! so it was far to say, when we rocked up without any travel arrangments out of the there, my pulse especially (as it was solely my idea to go this way into Thailand) was slightly raised. But it worked out fine! We managed to luckily find the Only bus out of here and up to Trang, where, after a few scary moments and nop sleep for the past 3 days, we checked into the most swanky hotel they had to offer. It was 4 star luxury, for just 9 pound each! But we did experience our first Thai person who was so incredibly friendly and we jumped in his awesome TUK TUK to our hotel. It was soooooo much fun in the back of this unsilenced, three wheeled motorbike/pick up truck thing.
We decided to go down to the hotel bar to have a few cheeky drinks, until James spotted the club attached to the hotel!! With little persuasion we went in,where I intended to only have a few drinks! We got to the door and where treated like Kings by the manager. Everyone was being ID and turned away for what they where wearing, we howvere, rocked up in shorts, t-shirts, caps and thongs and where ushered in by the 2 managers!! its amazing what white skin can do. So needless to say, one drink turned out to be a lot more than that with myself hitting tha hay 'ealry' at about 2 and James deciding he'd stay with his new American and Scottish friend, the only other white people in the whole South by what had seen for a few more drinks! So he ended up being let in by the maid as i was fast asleep!! Oh the antics!
From Trang we jumped ona train to Surat Thani. Thailand's southern scenary was nothern special, but the most exciting part may well have been the rogues bit of used toilet paper missing my face by about 10 cm's as i was leaning out of the window.
Again we got up very early from Surat Thani and got a boat over to Ko Phan Nagn, whihc is where we are now, and getting ready for a huge P-A-R-T-Y tonight.
Take care everyone and i'll speak to you all soon!! Probably when we start our Muay Thai kickboxing camp!! cant wait.
ps, I shall probable be coming home a week early due to financial problems so you may need to rearrange those diaries of yours for my welcome home party! hhehe
love you all!! Tim xxxx
