Tim, Chris and Edd´s And James's Long Ol' Adventur
Hi,
so now I'm in beatiful South West thailand in a really nice little town called Krabi where the night stalls on the waterfront sell tasty Pad Thais, the beaches are spectacular and yes once more, there is ridiculously cheep beer.
Last couple of days have been spent on Hat Ton Sai beach which is only really reachable at low tide and major activities are rock climbing, chilling out and going on long walks to find isolated lagoons. The later I did yesterday and scared myself silly as the monsoon rain was coming down and we were literallty hanging onto ropes with no equipment or guide as torents of water flowed down and around us. Still, the prize at the end was well worth it - a stunning quiet lagoon with amazing Karst scenery and where you're voice echoed like something from a movie.
Still, now I'm getting a bit tired of beaches and decided not to visit world famous Ko Phi Phi as it would probably be lost on me. Instead I'm going off tomorrow to a big national park where it's said crystal clear rivers run through ancient rainforest and activities include hiking, rafting and elephant trekking.
Am looking forward to making some progress distance wise as have been going a bit slowly recently due to meeting cool people and generally being lazy. Although one more stop in a couple of days will have to be Ko Tau on the East coast for some scuba diving as is meant to be awesome there. Then the train to Bangkok I think. Who knows?
Chris
