We started the day with a quick supermarket shop whilst Driver Dave went and got more paper work done to be able to continue with the truck through Zimbabwe. Then we had a 6 hour drive to get us to Antelope Park. It would have taken less time but there were many roadworks, the occasional police check point where much discussion had to be done about where we were going and what was a truck load of white people doing in Zim. There was also rather a long wait at a toll booth whilst Dave proved he'd paid lots of money to cover all tolls in the morning.
We arrived at Antelope Park at about 1530 hours and were greeted with drums, song and dance by the staff. As it was Hillary's birthday they gave her special attention - although she refused to let them throw her in the pool.
We had a nice afternoon being shown around this beautiful campsite/lion conservation reserve. And rounded it off with a very American meal to celebrate Hillary - cheese burgers. Followed by chocolate cake and washed down with hot chocolate laced with Amarula. The temperature at night has dropped so we are now making use of our thermals, woolly hats and huddling around bonfires.
