Didn't put an alarm on this morning, we needed the lie in! We both woke up at around 8am, we headed down to the gym for a session, feeling fat and unhealthy after no high intense cardio for a while, both worked up a good sweat after just over an hours work out. We had a quick shower and went out into the strip, went up north to the stratosphere, it didn't seem like it was getting any closer no matter how fast we walked. The heat here is so heavy and the sun can be that really piercing burny hot so it wasn't a good match. We bought tickets for the 3 attractions and entry to the tower which came to $35 it was cheaper to buy it as a package as entry to the tower was $20 and a single ride was $15.
We were going up 120 floors in the elevator, it looked over the entire of Las Vegas, we couldn't believe how big Las Vegas was! The houses and neighbourhoods go out so far! We were in the tallest building in the U.S. and we were about to getting on a ride that suspended us over the end of the building! Into thin air - great! It was really quiet up there, quiet everywhere really which we are quite surprised at considering it's peak season in August. Better for us though. They were s*** scary but really good rides! You had to leave your stomach behind! :)
We decided on the bus to the south of the strip, it was just too hot to walk!! We got off at the last stop and walked to the famous welcome to Las Vegas sign! *photo opportunity* and then walked back to the bus stop to take us back to our hotel. Sat by the pool for the test of the afternoon and then headed back out around 7 for food and to see the Bellagio water light show which was amazing, the height that the water goes is insane, it sounds like thunder. We visited M&MS world, and then went into the famous Caesars palace, it's gigantic but fabulous as expected! We placed a fee bets on the gambling machines, we lost! I did win $2.57 back from $5. We haven't had a go on the tables becAuse we haven't a clue how to use them! Haha.
Early night again, 11.30am. Shuttle bus at 3.30am for our flight outta here to tornado and hurricane state - TEXAS! Yeeeha!
