Today is a momentous day for the trip as we have reached our final state - NEW YORK state.

We head up New York State to Watkins Glen where the people we met at Shenandoah National Park - Dennis and Cookie - suggested we visit. We visit Watkins Glen Gorge which has been carved over millions of years by the river and waterfalls. We stay overnight in Watkins Glen in a motel overlooking one of the lakes known as the Finger Lakes.
