Hello all!
So I have less than 20 days left here!! I'm really really sad to leave. I would stay forever if I could.
Last weekend was the last time all my friends and I would be together out on the town. So we ventured into an area of Melbourne called Fitzroy which has a lot of nice restaurants. We had some Thai food over candlelight, and then we found a chocolatier which was delish!! They brought my order twice so I could two churros with melted chocolate. MMMMMM..
Ayla and I had tickets to see Wicked so we found the theatre where it was showing and went to find our seats. The set was so incredible and we were excited before it even started. What a show!! Everyone should see it eventually. The singing was amazing, the costumes were ridiculous, the music was lovely, and the acting was pretty good. All around, great show. I would definitely see it again.
The past week has been full of homework-doing fun. I got a lot done though. A couple papers and projects later and I'm done!! I handed the last of it in today. It was the last time I'd see campus though so it was sort of bittersweet. But I'm really thankful I was able to get everything done ahead of time so I could do some traveling before the big journey home.
So tomorrow at 530 am Caitlin and I are getting up to catch a plane to head to Queensland. We're flying into a place called Cairns which is a tropical paradise. I think we're spending 4 days there - hoping to do some scuba diving, seeing the rainforest and enjoying the sunshine!! Then we're bussing down to the Whitsundays which is a beautiful island area. There we're meeting up with Ayla and living on a boat for a few days, which should be interesting to say the least. After two nights on a boat, Ayla and I are flying to Brisbane where we hope to hold a Koala. We'll see. Then bussing again to Byron Bay. I don't know much about it but it's apparently really cool. And then from there we're flying to Sydney and meeting up with Caitlin again for a few days there. Then flying back to Melbourne on the 20th, to leave again on the 23rd for home. It's going to be an adventure, for sure. I can't wait to be on the plane tomorrow. With swine flu, we're really hoping we don't get held up much. We all have to catch so many flights within the next 3 weeks so pray for easy traveling!
Wish me luck...
