Ciao!
Today is the 26th September, and we have just arrived in Florence.
After I finished my blog post, we had dinner at the restaurant. We had tomato penne, cold turkey meat and salad, and zuppa inglese. We were all quite surprised when the turkey came out cold, as we had expected something a bit warmer! I then attempted to Skype my parents on the dodgy wifi before eventually going to bed.
Today began with breakfast: Nutella croissants, bread with salami and ham, a cappuccino, and the obligatory fruit. We then hopped on the bus to Arezzo. Along the way, we saw the mountains to the right, and the sea/a lake of some sort to the left. When we arrived in Arezzo, we walked down Via Nazionale and saw a pretty church. Valentina and I also saw a poster for Il Volo outside a record shop, so of course we took a photo with it! Whilst we were there, we were also lucky enough to catch a parade; they had people dressed in medieval and traditional costumes and a marching band walking down the main street. It must have been a celebration of some sort! It was amazing! We then had some time to explore the area around Via Nazionale before lunch, so we visited a number of shops and a piazza. The parade also came back again, so we saw them twice. We then all met up again for lunch. We went to the piazza where 'La Vita è Bella' - 'Life is Beautiful' - was filmed, and had lunch in a gorgeous restaurant. I ordered the cottoletta milanese, which came with potato chips. It was very yummy! There was also an accordion player, which made us feel as if we were in one of those classic Italian films; it was a lot of fun! We then walked back through the piazza and the main street to the bus, which we took to Florence.
We are about to go out now, so - until next time - ciao! :)
