Today we passed through the Pillars of Hercules :) I can now say I have seen Morocco and Spain at the same time!!! We also stopped in Gibraltar to refuel which took 6 hours, that is a lot of gas, glad that isn't my gas tank, LOL. It was nice to sit out on the 6th deck at the aft of the ship to eat dinner and enjoy seeing land, mountains, boats and city's all around me. It was a bit hazy but the picture I took turned out pretty ok (that is the one that is posted here).
Yesterday was not such a good day though. Very rough seas and for the first time I had to put on my sea bands and we have been losing an hour all but one night since we left so needless to say I was not in the best of space. But today I slept in and now I am in a much better mood :)
We are now one day away from Spain and I can't wait!!!! The first day I am visiting Universitat de Barcelona and then that night am going to dinner with Flamenco :) Then I am off to Sevilla to visit with Anuja, a friend of mine that has been teaching English there for 3 years now. I miss her dearly and can't wait to see her again.
Speaking of missing people, I have received a few e-mails from people and oh I can't explain how good it is to hear from those of you that have sent me something. It is so strange to not just be able to call someone when I need to or even text them. The internet runs veeeerrrry slow on the ship so I don't really know what is happening in the world or with any of you. But on a positive note I signed up to have a sea family so last night we had our first dinner and I have 4 kids now, LOL, well students but we were joking about it at the table :) The students on the ship are pretty awesome and the ones that are in my family seem to fall right into that awesome category.
Well, it is 1am here and I have to get in the morning to read for class. I miss you all and I am now starting to get incredibly excited for Spain!!!!!
