It started out like any other day . You wake up at 4am . Quietly grab the computer so you don't

  wake up the boss, he can be a bit grumpy if he's sleepy or hungry.

we get packed up and ready for the move. Ko Toa maybe a very nice island but it's small and

  very narrow streets no sidewalks.  

Because the island is so small , you can walk most places. As we are not professionals on the

motor bikes and you have to constantly remember to drive on the left. Miss potholes. Watch

out for sand, dogs, cats. Did I mention potholes? They have big ones here.

There are so many kids here from all over the world , they all rent motorbikes and there do not

  seem to be any speed limits. Add to that the organized confusion of the way the Thais drive. 

 We decided this is a good time to get in some exercise. So we have been walking everywhere.

it is just not comfortable walking on this island .you walk on the road facing oncoming cars .

they come very close to you because they have no choice ,they are giving the oncoming car

  room to get by. You have to watch out for your umbrella ,it might knock a motorcyclist off.

that would be interesting to explain to the cops!  "Oh ,sir I am so sorry....he didn't duck"

 

we are to leave at 9 am . At 7am it's pouring down rain. We figure the high speed catamaran 

 boat ride is going to be

  interesting . Roy's tummy didn't like a meal we had a couple of days ago. The bathrooms been

  very handy.

so wondering how rolling seas are going to affect him, and for that matter me. I have never been

  a good sailor 

 Thunder is really, really loud here. The wind is really picking up this is going to be soooo interesting.

 We convinced the hotel that because we had encountered really long lines on our last boat ride. We didn't want to be crunched for time.


 They give you a free ride down to the docks at 9am boat leaves at

  9:30. But the hotel guy was super he had them take us down at 8:30.. 


The rain stopped but the thunder rolls. Loud!

we get on another catamaran this one has nice comfy leather seats all enclosed.

We we are on our way.... 


 Sorry very anticlimactic . Seas a bit rough but we zipped thru. Yeah...

tummys are fine. 

We walk 700 meters to our hotel. ( computer maps are mavalous! 

We have been so lucky on hotels, found another really nice German hotel.

had a great but pricy meal....we were starved!
