The story starts at 6am on July 26th.
We had decided that we did not want the hustle and bustle of Nogalas AZ border crossing.
So we went 73 miles to Naco AZ and crossed there.
When we went over the border they searched our rig. Just looking, They were very nice about it.
We had been told we needed to go to Cananea to get our permits, so off we went.
Get to Cananea and three people later and a lot of sign language, we find the Banjercito.
AHHH- you can only get the auto permit here, now we have to go back to Naco to get the people visa,
then back to Cananea for the auto permit, with proof of people visa . Or go to hwy 15 where we need
to go anyway, then back up north 36 miles to get it all done in one place. !!! WA LA everything went smoothly here!!
So 12 noon we are off and running, it is getting pretty warm by now---not complaining!!
Drive through a small town and they have several road side cafes. One draws our attention so we pull in
there, as Roy is parking I notice an old man waving us over to his place. I kinda laugh and tell Roy , he looks
over there and off we go. AHHHHH UMMMMM!!! so glad we did !!!
I am not sure if it was because we had not eaten at all, or if it was just an incredible meal.
It was a tacos with cucumbers ,salsa, onions soaked in something red, limes, guacamole, and fried green onions.
I was going to take a picture, but opps it was gone to quickly.
Got to Santa Ana and found the only RV park in town and settled down for the evening..
Supper was not good.
The couple had adopted 3 dogs and they barked all night long.
Headed out at 6:30am and got into San Carlos at 11am. Could have gone further but someone was a bit
grumpy and needed a nap.
It is a bout 93 today and we are on the Sea of Cortez . Will head over to the beach in a little while and get nice and wet, then see if we can find supper.
We would like to comment about Freddie. He is a worker manager of Totonaka RV Park in San Carlos..
He is a great help to the RVer. Always cheerful, and helpful. Speaks great english.
We had a great meal at the Totonaka Restaurant, this time I took pictures.
