I am high up in the Andes, on day 1 of my 5 day Inca Trail trip. Tomorrow the hard work begins, 4 days of trekking ending up at Macchu Picchu on my birthday. Today we have visited some Inca ruins, and we are spending the night in a hotel before 3 nights camping.. it is warm here in the day as the sun is so bright, but gets really cold at night. Thermals at the ready... Please send positive thoughts, I am nervous about it! x
