May 8th Australia Zoo to Noosa- Drove North past Brisbane to Australia zoo home of the crocodile hunter..well ok maybe not anymore..poor steve! This is a picture of surfers paradise by the way...not Byron Bay!!!!! Byron Bay 5th-7th May- Left Brisbane in our hire car, which we got a really good deal for! Headed down the coast towards the Gold coast and Surfers Paradise. We could see Surfers Paradise emerging from the Skyline from miles away. Slept at Christchurch airport the night before our flight. We had to check in at 4 so didnt see the point in booking a nights accomodation! It was rather uncomfortable..a new experience though.
