Ahhh Salamanca, Absolutely stunning old city with the stone walls that surround it to the number of massive cathedrals within Salamanca is a sure sight. Weather it be sipping on a cold beer in the Plaza Mayor with the heat pouring down or perhaps a delicious ice cream to satisfy your taste buds either way the hot weather is very much to be absorbed. Was able to find our selfs within a very large parade which was assumed to be Easter celebrations. Four hours of marching, music and dressing gown like costumes started and finished at the Cathedral de Salamanca. Huge amounts of people lined the streets from the cathedral right into and out of the Plaza Mayor to allow the parade to come through. Premium looking cafes, restaurants and bars line the picturesque stone streets with large delicious looking meals coming out of them leaving the streets with an array of essence. The city tour train leaving every 30 minutes allows visitors to easily go through the city with little energy required passing the key sites. Overall lovely city. Next stop we hit narrow cobbled streets, expand our tastebuds with some port wine and visit the second largest city in Portugal, that is Porto!
