The trip kicked off as any trip would with a couple of planes and also a train. Two young kiwi boys were set loose in Madrid, with no clue of location this was a bad start to our vacation. As we dropped our bags at the hostel we went to the streets we visited the Plaza Mayor and had a beer and dried meat. Back at the hostel it was time to check in we were both very sleepy but it was only 4pm. We awoke the next day at nine in the morning, free breakfast went down and the day it was warming. Free walking tour was next which took a few hours, we saw all the main sites such as the palace. The cathedral was there and so was the bear which stood with a tree which resembled a broccoli. Free beer at the end saw and end to the tour we went back to the hostel for a sleep and a shower. A few drinks at the hostel with the young South African couple. Next we were off to cats hostel down the road which we there remained with a French man who had joined us with a face like a toad. As the night dragged on the crowd it got bigger. With new friends from America and some English girls too with talk of trump and the mention of brexit there we remained as we saw the night through. The next day was much slower as we woke around 9 we then had a quick shower which drew us to breakfast. We set out for the bus station which was around 3k it took a couple of hours luckily not the whole day. We finally found the station with a lot of hesitation we were able to know where we we heading the next day. A quick bite and drink was desperately needed and back to the hostel for a nap and a breather. With another walk to the main square and back we then purchased our dinner meatballs and pasta were the things on the menu. The meal was eaten and the dishes were done and it was then time for bed as the sun then came down.
