Managed to gain entrance into Albania where we have had two nights in the capital Tiranë. At first glance a huge step down from the previous city's and country's in terms of wealth and general cleanliness which can be seen with the rubbish and the cabling/wiring which is always a good indicator. With today being our first full day we headed off to book bus tickets, at first we were wanting to head to Vlora but after asking we were told the bus drivers were on strike that day and we asked for tomorrow the lady was unsure and said that they would still probably be on strike. We eventually booked tickets to Sarande. After this and lunch we headed for a look around and some pictures then went into the history museum for a look around. Back to the hostel to chill then dinner and drinks. Overall the food and drink is cheap and we have noticed the general kindness of the people with them all trying very hard to help us get to where we are wanting to go. This was apparent when we first arrived and were wanting to get to the city centre a young couple managed to help and after walking us to the correct bus and making sure the driver knew where we were wanting to go we managed to get exactly there. Last night here in Tiranë then bus tomorrow South then downwards into Greece.
