Sorry - no entry last night. We stayed on board the Queen Mary, and everything was posh, including the internet charge...
Another jam packed day of course - started with a wander along Hollywood Boulevard, since we could finally get into Graumans Chinese Theatre area which had been used for the filming. Checed out Kodak Theatre, a few more stars in the 'sidewalk' then checked out from our hotel.
First part of the journey was to swap cars. Ours had developed a persistent warning light on the dash which meant the nagging wasn't just coming from the back seat :-). Back to the yard to get rid of Rhonda, and replace with Thelma.
Knotts Berry Farm was next. This was the first theme park in the US and is like a compact Disney. Stagecoach rides, Ice Skating Shows and Rollercoasters/Rides. More than a days worth if you did it all, but we just focussed on the 'new' experiences. Brooke joined D and I for the first giant, wooden rollecoaster (Half of the ride is outside the park!) which was quite rickety, but an excellent ride. She spent every moment ride up till they pressed the launch button saying 'I don't want to do this'. She did. She loved it. On their scale of scary, it was the top...and I'd agree. Calling it the Ghost Rider didn't help our cause (In trying to get her on) but we convinced her that names are just about getting people on, and "Airy Fairy Princess Ride' would have deterrred all the thrill seekers. Brooke ventured onto another coaster where you sat astride horses. Tame but fun (Pun intended)
Other than the Snoopy Xmas ice show it was basically D and I hitting the coasters. A Boomerang one, where it was a fierce forward ride, then same again in reverse. A magnetic powered super fast one similar to our Australian favourite Superman, with a twist - literally. The vertical up and down was twisted, unlike superman. Excellent ride. A few others followed then a 300 foot high dangly spinning one. Great view of the whole park.
Sarah made a Gingerbread Man (And promptly ate it) to keep her amused, and after some quick nibbles we set off to the Queen Mary.
What a place to stay! The ship is awesome, as guests we have free reign, and wandering around at night was great. We shuttled into the local fishing harbour had a wander and a meal, then headed home. We figured we'd order like back at home, but boy were we in for our first portion shock! Large means extra, extra, extra oversize here. We did our best, but the ginormous pizza we were sharing between 3, could have easily fed 12. Brooke and Sarah ordered Pasta dishes, and managed to barely scrape a bit of sauce off the top. Yummy food - just way too much of it. We were served by a skinny waitress, by the way.
Finally, back to the ship for a sleep. Magic location, great experience. The night was ghost free, much to Brooke's delight!

Sue Vigolo Not shore of the foot wear. 4 in boots 1 in thongs? Sound like your having a great time.
