Day 25, 7 July 2014, Oslo, Norway. Wet. Usually I'm blessed with fine weather for travelling, but really the European heatwave of the last few days couldn't continue. And despite there being a massive cruise ship in port, there weren't that many folks around (certainly not that many dry ones). Easy day for the third and final day of the Oslo pass. Used the subway/T-bane to get to the Munch Museum in Toyen... nice and all, but probably enjoyed his art more in the surrounds of the National Gallery yesterday. Then back into town to discover that the heavens had opened while I'd been underground. Thank heavens for brolly, but I still ended up padding around Akershus fortress & castle soaking wet from the knees down. But I was there with only 2 other hardy souls for company (spread out through the whole castle). All good stuff. You could probably spend a couple of hours roaming the fortress grounds and reading up on history... but it was back to the hotel for me. Hot shower and a glorious wet afternoon hibernating with a movie. And thanking my lucky stars I had a heated towel rail to dry my sneakers. Chill out day planned for tomorrow - buy some post cards which will eventually have to be written and a stroll to Oslo Cathedral.

James Hardie Well done babe, that is the last of the Oslo pass, you show you are a hard core traveller, being one of three die hardship at the castle, you thoroughly deserved a feet up in the warmth of your luxurious pad.
