Days 171-173, 30 Nov-2 Dec 2014, La Trigalle... Another tiny hamlet, somewhat closer to the village than mine. Today's outing? C'est magnifique - First mince pie and mulled wine of the festive season at a "Christmas Fayre" held in the world's cosiest barn in La Trigalle - in aid of Cancer Support France and a home for abandoned dogs. Most importantly - inexpensive. Had a good look around the stalls, bought some handmade greeting cards, had a couple of goes at the Tombola table (5 chances for €1), went in the raffle and then sat down for aforementioned mince pie and mulled wine. They were of the magic & vanishing variety however - honestly - there in my hand one minute and gone the next. On the drive home we also discovered the smallest church in the village of churches. Could well be the smallest church in the world actually (see album). Today's Sunday and I hit the road Wednesday - a night in a cosy B&B is lined up then onto an early train to Paris on Thursday. By early I mean 9 am... When it's only coming light at 8 am and it's gray and cold, trust me - 9 am seems wickedly early!
