On our last day we went on a river trip to the Mekong Delta. We went via boat for the day on the Saigon river express. It was a fantastic day. We travelled thousands of kms of rivers and canals linking up a vast network of people and industry. In just 130 km we saw such a huge contrast between rich and poor. Sophie: I enjoyed drinking out of a coconut as I had never done that before and it tasted nice. Ho chi min city was a big city with lots of people tooting their horns and lots of motorbikes everywhere. Some streets were a bit stinky!

Caitlin: I love icecream! My friend told me about this place and it was a great icecream shop. Perfect place to eat icecream as so hot!

There are fantastic bakeries here - a legacy of when the French occupied Vietnam- beautiful bagettes and cakes. Très delish!
