The girls all did really well following the head chef's instructions especially as it was a five hour class and a bit tricky at times.
We made a total of 4 different dishes.
First we made cabbage soup- sounds very unappetising but was actually delicious. Next up spring rolls with prawns. This was followed by crispy pancakes and finally a mango salad with spicy chicken.
The head chef started out in her parents kitchen aged 10 years.
She gave a fascinating insight into vietnamese cooking and way of life.
Lulu: the cooking class was very inspiring and impressive. The instructor told us lots of the background of the foods. I learnt that herbs are very important in vietnamese cooking. First we visited the market and she told us all of the Vietnamese main spices, herbs, and vegetables.
Upstairs in the morning glory restaurant we started cooking - she showed us how to make the dish then we made it . It was a lot to remember. We cooked 4 courses
