Ria's Travels around USA!!!
Hay everyone... How are you all???
Good I hope...
Well all...am actually in Boston at the minute and its chucking it down!!! BOOHOO
Wanted to boost up my tan the last couple of days but I really don't see that happening :-(
I wanted to have a really good time here in Boston and I wasn't gonna let the rain take that away as well :-) hehe
I've been staying in a really nice hostel (WHAYYY OVER PRICED!!!), the people here are just so chatting and friendly...The manager was having a bit of a domestic with the pizza guy when I arrived so that was entertainment for us all and kept us laughing and stuff...a good ice breaker.
2 of my room mates have just come from Chicago, we worked out we were on the same bus!!! Weird hay!!! Really is a small world...
So Boston...well...I arrived quite late so didn't have a chance to do much really, I got all wrapped up and went for a walk, try and get my bearings. The place am staying in is right by this huge court yard thing, best way to describe it is it looks a lot like Irongate and up them ways in Derby...very nice, lovely little delis and restaurants, chilled out with some ice cream up there, even though it was chucking it down...TRUE BRIT THRU AND THRU :-)
HAHA...
The next day was a lot nicer, the sun was out so spent the whole day in Boston town centre, I went on the famous 'Freedom Trail' they have here, which goes into the history of Americas independence and all that, was quite interesting actually. Its like 3 miles long though, and my will power gave in when we got to the shops...hahaha
After that I headed up to the cambridge area and that was really swarve, also went into Harvard university and all I can say is I wish Derby uni was like that...I WANNA STUDY THERE, it was lovely..and huge 2. The surrounding area it great to, just loads and loads of bars and shops, I bet its just great to be there....
Was thinking...This September will be the first one in 16years where I haven't gone into full time education!!!! How strange...
Anyway then off to the 'Cheers Bar' the on from the tele (My dad always made us watch it) was well weird being there, thinking back at it though I should of had a cheeky half :-) HeHe
The rest of the day was spent walking around doing random things really...probably trying not to get lost sounds about right :-)
I really like Boston, it has a town feel to it, but a very student feel to it as well, could see me fitting in here quite well. Wish I could stay longer but New York awaits and am really excited.... Meeting Ines from Miami and I can see a party on the cards :-)
Well all...That's me. Love you all lots
