After catching up on some sleep, we ventured out into a beautiful Budapest spring morning. The weather has been warmer than expected.
First up was a dip in the thermal baths - very quaint with lots of people including men playing chess in the pool. We then continued on our HoHo (hop on hop off) tour which we've always found to be a good way to get around a new city. We've managed to take in most of the main sights of the city which is frankly stunning. We've even practiced some basic Hungarian which has been well received by the locals who are often surprised that a tourist is making an effort. We haven't the slightest clue what they're saying in reply but they're saying it with a smile on their face!
Budapest is easy to get around, great for walking and we feel very safe with the people very friendly. There are lots and lots of tourists here.

Ilus Soooooo glad your first day was such a success and that you used my little list of words. And I have to say Kimbo, you have a beautiful pronunciation of one of the most difficult languages in the book!!! No wonder the Magyars took a liking to you!!! Which baths did you go to???
