G'day!
Since our last blog we have flown from Auckland to Sydney thats in Australia. We spent our last couple of days in New Zealand chilling out and prepping for OZ in our very french hostel. Buf!
Arriving in Sydney Friday, we checked in at our massive hostel in the centre of town and met yet more french travellers, Buf! We headed out to explore and obviously straight to the Opera House. Sitting in the sunshine in the Opera House Bar gazing at the Harbour Bridge wondering where it all went wrong. After smarting up to match the ridiculously dressy Sydney crowd we hit a couple of bars near our hostel for a few schooners of chancer.
Saturday we explored the Rocks area of the city which had a cool little market on, stopping for lunch at a german beer hall for bratwurst and goulash. Whilst exploring Darling Harbour we joined the crowd to watch a Sydney Strippers Xmas party as they were boarding a party boat all dressed as santa. Pics to follow! When we chilling in the park, Eddie (me) got recognised by a tramp. "TOM CRUISE" he bellowed after signing an autograph he left us in peace. That night we headed to Maloneys for a few jars headed back at what we thought was an acceptable turning in time of 12.30, as we got to our dorm the other 6 people were having a party before venturing out, the 2 french Buf! Buf! 2 nottingham lads and 2 norweigian girls leaving us oldies to go to sleep as they hit the clubs.
Today we toured a casino and the fish market, which was amazing. We had sea food platter for lunch very nice. We were looking around the Glebe district when we were caught in the mother of all thunder storms, after hiding under a tree for half hour we ran to the local shopping centre and are still drying off.
Starting our journey north tommorrow and first stop Newcastle.
