Hello all,

Arrived in Byron Bay on tuesday night following an hours delay on our train because some selfish old woman had fallen over in one of the carriages and had to wait for an ambulance for her. We arrived at night and the town seemed really buzzy and busy. After a tense walk in the dark to our digs we checked in and crashed out. The following morning predictably it rained so we had a walk around town dodging the downpour. After snoozing in our room while the rain came down we got ready and went to the Treehouse which is a bar/cafe right outside our room, we sat and listened to the surf dude duo playing some laid back tunes and had a few beers.

Yesterday after the mornings rain, we hit the beach and what a beach it is. Just across the road from our digs is Belongil Beach, white sands, blue sea and good surf apparently. Had a swim and a sunbathe before a monster lunch at the Treehouse then back on the beach. That night we went into town to the Railway Friendly Club, again good live music and a few beers. On the walk home we decided we just weren't ready to leave Byron so we decided not to. This morning we paid up for 5 more nights meaning Xmas on the beach, wahoo!
