Bit of a much needed sleep in this morning, breaky and off we ventured for our trip out to the beach areas.We walked to Syntagma Square and from there caught a tram (cost EUR1.20 each) out to Glyfada. Took about an hour but was an interesting experience. Once the tram hit the coast was fascinating to see the beachside areas - all ensconced with sun lounges, umbrellas, cabanas etc - only to be enjoyed for a fee! Not much to see at Gylfada itself besides the beach ...

Enjoyed our buffet breakfast at Attalos, sent a bag of washing off to be done then were off for the day by 9.30ish.Were flying blind but with map in hand just headed towards the Acropolis. Realised we weren't in the most salubrious of locations but a very obvious police presence - spotted often throughout the day - made us feel quite safe. After a slight ATM detour was not long before we encountered our first area of ruins - Handrian's Library; our first of many ...

Can't believe we have to leave Croatia today! Where has the last 13 days gone?!? What an awesome experience this has been - feel we have covered an enormous amount, met some amazing people and have had an abundance of incredible experiences! This departure will be tinged with sadness though no doubt plenty of good times ahead in Greece.
