I am afraid to say that this blog isnt any better than the last one. Another stopover on our road north this time a little town called Medford. After another long drive we spent the evening having dinner and watching a bit of tv.
Our reason for choosing this town was not entirely geography. We had met a couple at six flags theme park who had told us to visit a place called the oregon vortex and house of mystery about 15 miles north of medford. "The Oregon Vortex is a glimpse of a strange world where the improbable is the commonplace and everyday physical facts are reversed. It is an area of naturally occurring visual and perceptual phenomena, which can be captured on film". To cut a long story short it is believed that there is a vortex around an area of countryside which distorts the appearance of objects and people. From our photos you can see that at different areas within the vortex the heights of Michael, me and other people on the tour change with us appearing taller or shorter than each other depending where we stand! If you want to know more google "oregon vortex" and you will read all about it! We were both pretty sceptical at first however when there it was really interesting and whatever forces are at work there is definitely something in it and we really enjoyed ourselves.
It was then back in the car again with our next destination being Portland for yet another stopover!
