Another 7 am start but this time it’s dry and the blue sky is clear. The same group of 10 as the past few days set off for a 20 km hike. This will be our shortest day yet!!

I choose to walk alone for the first couple of hours to reflect on what I now call my 'middle day', the day after yesterday (June 21st) and the day before tomorrow (June 23rd). A day sandwiched between two significant days in my life. I need the time to be alone to reflect on these. I realise that the reality is that I have so much to be grateful for in my life. While I may not have everything I want in my life right now, I do have everything I need. I also realise that if I am grateful for my life I will be happy because I now know that I cannot be grateful and unhappy at the same time.
Later on in the day I end up walking with Sarah. We have a great and deep one to one conversation. All in all this is a very rewarding walk, very reflective and sometimes very inspiring!
Summer too has finally arrived in Spain, glorious sunshine, brilliant scenery; great company another rewarding day on the Camino!
We reach our destination of Puente la Reina around 2pm after a few stops for refreshments! The albergue is the best yet with great showers, clean rooms and a swimming pool!
It was really good to have sunshine at last but I need to get the sun cream out tomorrow as the backs of my legs got burned today. I don't know if it’s the sun or what but I feel wiped out. It’s a super early night for me, on the night of the super moon.
