Imagine
Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people living for today
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people living life in peace
You, you may say
I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people sharing all this world
We had a lie this morning, people didn't start getting up until 06:30, we didn't start walking till 08:00. Today is a short walk day of 20km. I walked the first half with Emma and then with Tinker, a Canadian school teacher. The first half of the walk was up hill through a forest and the remainder gently down hill. I was glad of today's short walk after yesterday's marathon. The blister on the ball of my foot hurt but did not impede my progress, mind over matter!
Walk through the forest I noticed on the right hand side of the path was oak, while the forest on the left hand side was pine!!
Deciduous alongside evergreen separated only by a path.
Extremes separated by a path
Black and white separated by a path
Yin and yang
All of these living side by side separated only by the path.
I would like to find my way to live on the path, where I feel I am right now. But sometimes life experiences push me to one of the extremes, black/white, yin/yang, I hope that I can always see the light to guide back to the path, the path that I belong to! Another day of thinking on the Camino!
I got to the albergue before 1 pm and enjoyed a relaxing in the sun. Music, singing, story telling its a truly beautiful day.
Over the past 3 days it's been on my mind that I really want to complete this pilgrimage walk to Santiago. So yesterday I contacted work to request additional holidays and this was request was granted. Today I was able to change my flight return date from July 14th to July 23rd. So Santiago here I come. Lots of walking to be done as I am now one third of the way from St Jean Pied De Port to Santiago - 500 miles!
