Day 96: Old Dubbo Gaol
We had another beautifully warm day in Dubbo today. Perfect to do what I hope will be the final load of washing until we get home. It was also a great day to visit the Old Dubbo Gaol.
The gaol was shut down in 1966 and is now maintained purely as a tourist attraction. It is located in the main street of town as the gaol was here first and the town grew around it.
I think it was a little advanced for the kids to fully appreciate the experience but they enjoyed it none the less.
After the gaol we returned to the zoo and drove around this time having a quick look at the animals we either liked best or didn't get a good look at yesterday.
We enjoyed lunch at the zoo before letting the kids play on the playground for a while.
We had an easy afternoon and returned to the bowling club for dinner in the bistro again.
Tomorrow we are travelling to Parkes to see 'the dish'.
