Nadeane & Dean's Trip
Hi Everyone,
I guess I should update you on our New York stay. We did a whole lot of walking, and got to see most of the major highlights of the city. I picked up a few bargains in Chinatown and we even went to see a show on Broadway - The Producers... it was really good, we loved it. The city itself was really easy to get around. I only wish that we had more time for shopping!!! Oh and gues who we bumped into while strolling down 5th Avenue? MISSY ELLIOTT!! That was cool. We followed her down the street and got a photo of her back as she was walking past us. We went to an amazing Photographic exhibition at the UN headquarters as well. We will upload our photos soon, we haven't found a computer with a USB port yet!
We are now in London, after a great stay in New York. We are staying in a hostel at the moment, looking for a flat to rent and going to job interviews. We each have a couple of interviews today, so fingers crossed we will be working in the next few days. The agencies seem really positive, saying that there is definitely a lot of work out there, and not enough candidates. We have looked at one flat so far, and are going to look at some more tomorrow, so hopefully we can find something soon. It is so expensive to stay ina hostel here in Lonodn. It costs £15 ($40) each night to stay in a 10-bed hostel room, with a shared bathroom, so it is less than ideal so we cant wait to get our own place! Wish us luck! It looks like a studio or 1 bedroom flat in a decent area is at least £150 per week ($400!!!) And I thought Sydney was expensive.
Well we haven't done mucgh sightseeing yet. The first day we got here I can't even remember as we were so jetlagged. We just wandered the streets mostly! Yesterday we did some shopping and saw Piccadilly Circus and China town, but hopefully in the next few days or next weekend we will get out and have a good look around.
Anyway, better go. Hope everyone is well.
