Sunday 22nd February 2004 On the way to Mission Beach stopped at Millaa Millaa Falls and took some piccies then we headed to the Johstone Croc Farm where we fed Kangeroos (they're sooo sweet!) watched feeding time with the crocs (goddam biggest was 5.2m - eek!) Had a steak lunch there and then got to hold snakes and baby crocs - as you do! Then continued down to Mission Beach, we got there quite late so got some food and had a drink and wander around. Monday 23rd February 2004 Had ANOTHER early start today, headed down to Airlie, spent a lot of the time on the old Oz Ex today, stopped for lunch, although we were good and mad our own (budgeting and all that!) and then ended up getting pulled over by the traffic police because we had no right brake light, had to wait there for someone to come and fix it and it was about 36 degrees!!!! Finally hit Airlie at about 8.30pm, sampled some Ozzie pies i had spinach and feta, beck had mince and then hit the hay and saw pretty much nothing of Airlie, although there is no beach so we didn't miss much! Tuesday 24th February 2004 Headed from Airlie towards Dingo, middle of the outback. Got there at about 3.30pm and learnt to crack whips and throw boomerangs which was as amusing as you think and then we headed for a real austrailian afternoon tea 'billy and dapper' tea with theis lemony stuff and kindof scone thing with syrup and butter - yummy! Then all 30 of us hopped on the back of a cattle ranch truck and drove around the dirst tracks spotting wild kangeroos and catching the views which were amazing. We then got to the ranch accomodation and had vege soup and roast beef for dinner while drinking far to much and because the northbound bus was there too there were about 60+ drunken backpackers/stupidly drunk tug of war etc games and lots of fun! Wicked night and best thing was you couls make as much noise as you liked as the neighbours were 20km away! Wednesday 25th February 2004 Headed to Bagara today after huge breakie at the ranch, no hangover which was lucky and lots of sleep on the bus. Stopped at Rockhampton at the free Zoo had a wander around and saw our first Koala!!! Then to Bunderburg and then Bagara to some really nice accomodation with TVs, great shower etc etc all good! Thursday 25th February 2004 Well i am in Hervey Bay and Beck should be heading to Mooloolaba. We've split up for a few days as i am doing the 4wd 3day/2 night Fraser Island Safari and she is heading to Brisbane/Byron Bay to meet up with Greg so we'll let you know what wer have both been up to soon.......
