Yesterday afternoon we enjoyed the ac and Netflix at pats apartment.

After work pat and dania invited a bunch of their work friends over for a bit of a party before going out to sahoor. Sahoor is basically an all night music and eating party for Muslim’s during Ramadan. Alternatively it is a middle of the night snack at home before the days fasting begins. We were doing the former.

It was buffet style breakfast food, shawarma, appetizers, middle eastern deserts. The shawarma was good better than most I’ve had in Canada but not the best I have had. Around 11pm a band went on stage which was apparently quite famous in Egypt. It was decent music. Not something you’d want a CD of though.

Anyway today we have an 8 am start and a lot of site seeing so I should go get ready.

We are starting to see the end of our trip and that’s sad but we are also both super excited to get a good night sleep in our own bed, see Ruby, all of you, and get back to cooler temperatures. Though last night at sahoor under the stars it was 30 and we both thought that was a comfortable temperature. So we must be adjusting.
