We again started our day at 330. This time we were going on a hot air balloon ride over Luxor and the valley of the kings. It was an hour long flight and it was getting hot towards the end of it. I liked it and enjoyed thinking about how the first people to fly like this would have felt like and how basic this concept of flight was. Pamela loved every minute of it. I may not have looked like it being tired and hungry but I liked it too. I got some great pictures a real fired up Pammie and she bought a videographers video of our flight. I’m worried I will look doppy in the video but oh well.
So we came back to the boat, had breakfast and walked up to the Luxor temple. Again a huge old temple with tons of hieroglyphics and some paint still on.
We then went and bought a SIM card to get me back on the internet. We are currently cruising down the Nile near esna locks Pammie dozing likely somewhat related to dehydration me on the couch looking out our patio door doing the blog. Both watching the Nile, the lush valley around the Nile, and the desert just beyond both of them pass by.
The only occasional down side is someone racing up in a motorized tow boat yelling ‘allo, allo, enter name of product they are selling here’. I’m not a fan of them for a number of reasons amping them it disrupted my scenery, it seems like a poverty zoo, it reeks of colonialism etc etc. Though occasionally there are people waiving from the bank or swimming out from the bank. I like them and have been waiving back from time to time. Nothing wrong with a mutual greetings in my mind.
