Today has been one of the most amazing experiences! When thinking of Ireland, one quickly envisions rolling hills of luscious greenery, sparkling streams and mountains that will leave you speechless. After a few days in Dublin, I was yearning to experience this side of Ireland!

This iconic scene of paradise came in the form of a little monastery called Glendalough! As the bus arrived, I could see the green hills freckled with white sheep. The mountains not only left you speechless, but created a sudden urge to explore.

Walking through this ancient monastery , I wad taken back in time. The monuments were carefully crafted stone by stone and gracefully captured the essence of Ireland. This secluded village served as a refuge for many holy men during the Viking invasions. The giant bell tower stood as a reminder of the cautious lives these people were forced to live.

I continued to explore beyond the village and found myself wandering down a beaten path. As I took in my surroundings, I couldn't help but feel a connection with the people of this village- instantly craving a permanent residence in this spectacular creation!

The path ended at the lake. I have never experienced such a sight! The clear, blue water went on for days with the mountainous surroundings serving as a border between this secluded paradise and the rest of Ireland. I was in love! This was the Ireland I had been dreaming of.
