The Great Postie Bike Adventure
Quite a long hot day of riding - left the Wilpena Pound and continued riding through the Flinders Ranges down through Hawker, Orroroo, to Peterborough.
Peterborough was a great little town - has a fantastic railway history - and a fantastic railway museum called Steamtown - which is well worth a look if you ever get over this way.
There is a great Light and Sound tour which happens at Steamtown after dark, and it includes a film about the history of the South Australian Railways and how peterborough fits in with it all.
It also has a little motorcycle museum which was worth going to - lots of Italian bikes - Laverdas, a Ducati or two and an interesting Honda 2 speed automatic.
Still no headlight - and still no tools :(
