Continental buffet breakfast in the American Diner at our hotel before packing up and heading off for first day of driving. It takes a while to become comfortable with the car, the roads, other vehicles... not to mention the GPS ..and the tolls! We seemed no longer on a motorway and we were paying the first of five tolls for the day and we only drove about 220kms in total! Needless to say we probably weren’t always in the correct lane...credit card didn’t a...

Despite some noisy neighbours in the early hours of the morning we managed to get a good nights sleep. Up, packed and brekkie ....Au revoir to our lovely Derya at the hotel... so helpful. With her directions we walked with our luggage to Montparnasse railway station. Only took about 15 minutes with ample time to spare (we’re always early!). Fairly chaotic probably due to the continual rolling strikes of French rail ... hindered by construction work taking place...

Awake early and excited for what the day will bring! Continental buffet brekkie was more than adequate ... won’t mention how many delicious croissants Raymo devoured! After chatting with the lovely girl on the hotel desk, changed our minds re doing the hop-on -hop-off bus tour. Despite some drizzly rain and cool temperature we purchased 10 x metro/bus tickets at the nearby Pernety Metro ... then walked to the end of our street and caught the No 58 bus to the Lu...

A much needed great nights sleep in our terrific ultra modern hotel in Jung Ju ... near Incheon. Quite eerie wandering around the quiet streets on a Sunday morning.... no doubt very different on a business day. Evidently this area has only developed in last few years - plenty of high rise apartments and railway station right near our hotel. Enjoyed some time in the fitness centre before our buffet breakfast... knowing we had much time ahead sitting again today! ...

Certainly was an early start ..... but yet again the train trip to the airport was easy and stress free. Despite the 4.39am train from Sutherland... we were checked in and through customs, immigration and security and looking for coffee by 5.40! Unreal! Korean Air check-in was the quickest ever....and the 11 hour flight to Seoul was great. Raym reckons he had plenty of leg room and the two meals plus snacks were pleasant - Korean and Chinese options. Easily fitt...
