We are into the final stretch of our time in Thailand. We have seen some of the north, the centre, the Andaman Sea, and now we have travelled to the east side of the Gulf of Thailand for our last Thai islands before moving on to Cambodia!
Koh Mak just might rank up there as the smallest, quietest, most serene island we have ever stayed on. It is tiny and secluded, and it sometimes felt like we had it all to ourselves. The highlight was visiting Koh Kham, an even teenier island just a quick boat ride away with some of the softest white sand and clearest water of this trip. This island is apprarently for sale for approximately $60 million, so who wants to get in on this?
On our last day, we finally got around to taking a Thai cooking class! Here we learned how to make pad thai, and some of the delicious curries that we have been savouring. Troy learned from our cooking teacher that there is a "secret" dish that Thai people order on the menu that is extra spicy called "gang pa" (jungle curry), and couldn't believe that he has been missing out on it all this time. Luckily we have one Thai island left!

Carrie Sounds like this one might be a stop on my next trip to Thailand although I will have to find a friend to travel with lol.
Carrie How was the cooking class??? So jealous..... oh well you will have to cook for me now in July!
Clare Hansen Carrie, I think we could be convinced to go back! Cooking class was fun, and nice and small with only 4 people. Making the curry paste was difficult - lots of elbow grease needed with the pestle and mortar!
