So today was our Austrian and Bavarian castle day.
We started with the two Bavarian ones. One of these castles inspired the Disney castles. They were really more neo gothic or renasance palaces then castles. We both quite liked them but the guided tour with strict timelines was not good. I was surprised by the smallness of the finished areas. The Romanian kings palace was way larger but he was only kingfor a few decades at most.

Then we went over to the Austrian side. The castles were surrounding erenberg. There were two castles on top of one mountain one in the valley and one on the next mountain peak over. The mountain tops were connected by a modern foot beige. It was terrifying. These castles were all ruins but I thought they were very cool. Now we are heading to bed to be rested up for Oktoberfest day.
